Electronics School will be offered from 18-31JUL10.
It is modeled after the Navy's Apprentice Technical Training course, an 8 week precursor school to more than 15 different electronics-related enlisted ratings.
Cadets will be in the electronics labs 100% of the time hands-on. There is zero classroom time associated with this training. Cadets will learn to use breadboards, multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering irons, and other testing and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and repair basic electronic faults in modern Navy equipment.
Cadets should arrive between 1200 (noon) and 1600 on Sunday, 18JUL10. Cadets MUST be aboard and checked in no later than 1600. Please make travel arrangements that fit this window.
Officers/staff should arrive between 0800 and 1600 on Saturday, 17JUL10.
Graduation will be in BLDG 122 aboard NAVSTA GLKS at 1000 on Saturday, 31JUL10. Cadets traveling home via commercial air should book their return flight NO EARLIER THAN 1400.
